During Najamuddin’s pursuit of undergraduate and master’s degrees, he actively participated in several competitions and actively contributed to various organizations. He participated, inter alia, in the National University Debating Championship (NUDC) and the ICRC-Indonesian National Round of the International Humanitarian Law Moot Court Competition. He was also a member of the Indonesian Student Association (PPI) in Nottingham, a member of the University of Nottingham United Nations Society, and many other organizations.

Prior to joining AFS Partnership, Najamuddin was an editorial board member of Jurnal Jurisprudentie. Upon returning from Nottingham, he was assigned to work for the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia. His work at AFS Partnership is mostly in the Criminal Law Division.
